    Of course anxiety can change the future. That’s why it exists. It can be a selective advantage. Prey animals are super anxious for a reason.

      Fully agree.

      And guilt - if in appropriate measure - can protect from repeating mistakes. Excessive or misplacedd guilt is another matter, of course.

    No, it’s not. Anxiety changes the future all the time. It’s a powerful weapon in any asshole politician’s arsenal of propaganda.

      It certainly changed my future to one that involved much more laying in the fetal position on the floor than I’d have otherwise experienced.
