I wouldn’t want to shoot much larger guns than 22 indoors routinely. But that’s maybe the viking in me talking ❄️⚔️🔥

Whenever this comes up I like to add:

• Don’t get a gun in some obscure caliber. Get a pistol in 9mm or a riffle in 223 (even better get a 5.56x45 NATO) or 308 win, that way ammo will be cheaper and you can better afford training with it. Shooting a few hundred rounds is not really enough. You’ll need to train regularly.
• Learn how to maintain your gun. As in how to clean it, what parts need lubrication, adjusting the sights, etc.
• Speaking as an electronic engineer, get passive ear protection. Active noise cancelling is cool and all, but what about when the batteries run out and you have no protection? Or what the electronics fail? Protect your ears, but when you can get +100 rounds of ammo for the price difference, then I would prioritize the ammo budget.

If you’re not a gun person don’t bother with a rifle or handgun, get a shotgun.

You don’t have to worry about over penetration with a shotgun, and it’s easier to hit with than a pistol.

If you want to know what a proper rifle is, then that’s really a subjective assessment. I would say that a 22lr is ok, unless you need fight people in body armor. But I can see how big burly Muricans want something in 338 lapua or 50 bmg.

Can we agree that Epstein knew too much, and was silenced? Either by being suicided or by being smuggled out of prison, while leaving a stand-in dead guy with strangulation marks.

If can discard the Elvis theory, and agree that Epstein died in the cell, and that his death wasn’t voluntary, then maybe look at who else died. I mean, if you want to kill some high profile person, then you don’t want to be connected to that event. So you hire somebody, and then kill them afterwards.

Take Jack Ruby shooting Oswald, or the guy who shot at the audience next to Trump (sorry, but I don’t buy him missing with an ar15 at that range, I’m definitely not a great shot, but when I train at 200m I get 10/10 in center mass from a prone position). You don’t want to leave the shooter alive.

So look at who else croaked in the days following Epstein. Any guards missing? Fellow inmates?

I’m not convinced that these people are organized and competent enough to kill people in that scale without people finding out.

Same thoughts. But also too incompetent to single out the detainees who won’t be missed.

That said, I am certain that a whole lot if people have been killed in custody and covered up, but I don’t think it’s on a scale like that.

The idea that him being known as a pedophile is one of the positive outcomes for him (and the implications of that) is horrifying.

It will be status quo, if he’s only a documented child molester. The last 27% of the US population will support Trump no matter what, and his opposition in congress is so inept that they can’t coordinate impeaching him.

But maybe, if there’s documentation that Trump has eaten a kid alive, then congress will get their faces out of the bribe trough long enough to do something. Whatever congress then tries will be struck down by SCOTUS of course, but at least they’ll have tried.
